Herbert Maier, today's senior executive acquainted himself as a practitioner with both sides of turned part manufacturing. As a trained mechanic, he spent many years as a service technician before going into business for himself at the beginning of the CNC era, manufacturing complex turned parts on CNC machining centers. However, mechanical engineering was still in his DNA, so in 1988 he began doing major overhauls on CNC turning machines, launching Maier, his company, into the world of mechanical engineering. The experience gained from this second area of business subsequently flowed into the development of proprietary machine designs, along with the breadth of expertise gained from his time as a manufacturer of precision parts.

Thread-whirling, deep-hole boring, hobbing etc. - we offer solutions and assistance for all technical questions across the full range of applications.
